Meet The Face Behind Savvy Bookkeeping

I’m Dawn Hayes, the proud owner of Savvy Bookkeeping. 

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After providing support services to various industries for more than thirty years, I wanted to tread the path of self-employment and earn a living on my own terms. So, I decided to set up a virtual assistant business ten years ago, which later evolved into strictly remote bookkeeping services. 

What initially began as a side gig now supports me full-time, as well as another employee. My bookkeeping business has afforded me the financial freedom I was seeking and continues to grow as I expand the use of technology and branch out into new industries. 

As a professional bookkeeper, my biggest strength is that I take the time to understand my clients’ needs, challenges, and goals, and recommend services that best support them. 

I approach each new client as an opportunity to build a new relationship; one that is based on “healthy trust.” Building trust through effective communication and displaying values of honesty and integrity with my clients is what sets me apart from others. 

Connecting with my clients on a personal level has led to a loyal base. Moreover, their happiness with our relationship and services has resulted in organic growth through referrals.

While it is incredibly fulfilling to meet my clients’ expectations, as a business owner, I most enjoy lifting the burden of managing the finances for business owners and being a partner in the growth of their business. Currently, the most satisfying part of my job is working with a non-profit that is securing PPE for workers on the front line. 

When I’m not assisting clients, I spend most of my free time traveling and cooking. 

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
